It is with great sadness that I say goodbye to John. I went to work for him at the Oroville Mirror in July of 2008. I loved meeting so many people in Oroville because John really did know everyone! He made it fun with original stories that people were so excited to read, and he also let us know who the bad guys were! He seemed to get the pictures that told the story, and had the ability to write it like a screenplay. He really loved it. John will be missed for a long time.

John was most decidedly, a man of honor, a truth seeker and a great friend. His dedication to giving the citizens of Oroville a paper worthy to be read was surpassed by none. He was loved and will be greatlt missed.
