Obituary of Mary Etta Howell

Mary was born on August 6, 1938 in Oroville CA to Parents Shirley & Zelma Howell. She was the first of 3 daughters. She grew up in Oroville and attended Oroville High School. After school she met Preston "Jack" Jackson, they were married nd left for Germany so "Jack" could serve in the Army. She had their first 2 children Jackie and Bobby while in Germany. When they arrived back in the states they lived in a few different locations - their third child Donald was born in Red Bluff, Joey was born in Vallejo, Robert in Chester and Craig in Oroville. They settled in Oroville a family of 8. Mary worked at Country Smorgy's Restaurant many, many years. Mary was a very hard working woman, strong and full of perseverance. She had a great love for animals and gardening. Mary Had many grandchildren and even a few great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her sister Barbar and her son Donald. Mary's graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday February 19, 2022 at Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home (530)534-3877.
