Robert Mueller

Obituary of Robert Milton Mueller

His LegacyLong time Oroville resident Bob Mueller has turned in his truck keys and holstered his guns. During his senior years Bob enjoyed his pickup rides with his wife LouAnn, along the levee and throughout the city of Oroville. Another highlight of his final years was spending time at the shooting range on Rabe Road. Bob will no longer be enjoying these earthly pleasures, as he passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018, in Oroville, CA. He was born on October 13, 1931 in Sheboygan, WI to Dorothy and Milton Mueller. Bob spent his childhood years in WI and graduated from Michigan State with a Bachelor’s Degree. After serving in the Army as a Military Policeman, he relocated to CA. He attended UCLA Law School, while working as a Policeman in LA and passed the Bar in 1961. Soon After, he was appointed by Ronald Regan to serve as the Butte County District Attorney. In 1971 he entered into a Private Partnership with Jerry Warren and John Schroeder to provide defense for indigent clients. His longtime friend and Secretary, Cricket Fox, described him as having a brilliant mind, with total recall of facts; a man of integrity, moral turpitude, who was highly respected in the courtroom. He retired in 1989. After retirement, he married LouAnn Rupp, enjoying 26 years of marriage.

His Family… Bob is survived by his wife, LouAnn Marie Mueller and his daughter Victoria (Ron) Palamino of Benicia, CA; son Michael Mueller of Sparks, NV; and stepchildren, Colene (Buck) Weckman of Brownsville, CA; Steven (Carene) Rupp of Berry Creek, CA; and Lloyd Rupp of Oroville, CA; along with 9 grandchildren and 23, great grandchildren.
